保険商品はこのような性質から、特に景気の良い時代には他の収益を重視した金融商品に押されてあまり人気がございません。保障としての魅力は十分理解できるが運用商品としては他に利回りの良い商品がたくさんあるので特に貯蓄型の生命保険を購入する意味がないと言うのが大勢の方の意見です。ところが、景気の循環の中で、一旦景気が悪くなると収益性を重視した金融商品のパフォーマンスは極端に下がります。その一方で保険商品と言うのは無理な運用をしていない分、影響は非常に軽微であり、収益性を重視した商品との間でパフォーマンスの逆転が生じるのです。これが俗に言う、”お宝証券”と言われるものです。私どもがポートフォリオの中核をなす商品として生命保険商品をご紹介するのは、将にこの部分なのです。
